Warleigh
Warleigh, now Krinkles, is one amazing puppy! He is so sweet and gentle! He loves to play with his toys and is great with children! He sleeps beside me every night! I love him so much!
Wednesday
We would just like to start out by saying Thank You to the wonderful volunteers at Justin Bartlett! If not for them, we would not have our little Ella (formerly Wednesday)! We adopted her at the South Florida Pet Expo a month ago. Ella has adjusted well to our household. She is a very smart little pup and is learning basic commands and skills quickly! We are so blessed to have Ella as part of our family and could not be any more in love with her!
Wolfie
Hi,
I would have responded sooner with an update but I got your follow up email the day we were at the vet. It took three vet visits but Wolfie, now Valiant, is doing fantastic.
His favorite things are probably a tie between playing fetch in the yard and playing with my friend's very sweet lab/husky. He is still a shy guy but when he is at home he knows he is safe and after a few minutes warms up to company.
He gets along very well with my two cats. They are only about 2 years old but were born blind so they are fans of the slow approach as well. He plays very gently with Nimbus, while Crowley prefers to stay out of the action.
Valiant is a little slow on the uptake with things like tricks but is very well behaved with the basics. Since so much of the time when he first came to live here was spent just getting him to feel comfortable I consider him no longer hiding in his crate all the time a huge accomplishment. I remember it took about two weeks before I ever saw him even wag his tail, it is always going these days.
I adore my little man and am so happy to have been able to make a home for him where he feels safe and happy.
When he first came home:
Winnee
Hello from Winkie & I!
Thank you for this follow up. We kept the name Michelle Martin gave to Frankie - Winkie. She has become a treasured member of our family! Our 1 year old Chihuahua Meja believes she is Winkies Mom. She grooms her and brings her food & toys and even allows Winkie to take food from her mouth.
Winkie went to the vet today for her 2nd shot with Dr Ehrlich and she has gained 3/4 lb since we got her a month ago. Dr. E took several pics of Winkie with her phone - she fell in love with her too!
We also went to the Wee Union today at Petco Boynton and saw Deana & a lovely young girl that were present at Winkies adoption, they were both happy to see her. I have also made facebook friends with Michelle Martin - and she is following the adventures of Winkie!
We will be forever grateful to all of you for the amazing work that you do and are honored that we were allowed to take Winkie home with us!
here is a pic of Winkie & her sister Meja with my hubby driving us to see the circus at Clematis at Night, Winkie & Meja also have a 13 yr old sister named Cowgirl - the 3 of them sleep in a pile - its awesome to see!
hugs from Winkie & me :)
Wynne
Hi! We changed her name to Maggie. She is an absolute LOVE BUG. We could not have found a sweeter dog. She is gentle, silly, sweet, and submissive. She's put on some weight and is adjusting nicely. The one issue we have with her is that she's not housebroken. We are working on it, but for some unknown reason, she is not learning how to ASK to go out. She just relieves herself either near her food bowl or by the door, even though she was just taken out recently. She also will NOT go out without one of us right there with her...she seems very needy and clingy so we are hoping she will get over that as time goes on. Other than that, we really love her. She's wonderful with our two little kids which is most important of all...we just really need her to be housebroken
