Illiana
Illiana

Hi Kathy, Illiana "Lilly" is wonderful! She had no trouble adjusting to her new home and is almost completely potty trained. She is so sweet and loves meeting new people and animals and especially likes watching our guinea pig in his cage. She loves playing fetch and laying in the sunshine. Basically, she's amazing and we couldn't be happier that she came into our lives!

Good day Kathy, Iggy is doing wonderfully and we are truly grateful for permitting us to adopt him. Well since you last saw us we renamed him Waldy (After the 1972 Olympic Doxie Mascot). He has been accepted into our family with open arms and paws. He has adjusted well into his new home with no issue. Waldy spends his days playing with his older sisters and snuggling next to them when he's all tuckered out. Enclosed are some pictures so you can see how well he has adjusted into our complete family. Thank you, Arturo & Romy Herrera

Hi Kathy - Well - Isaac's new name is Max-A-Million - we just call him Max!!!! His first week home was really good - he adjusted pretty quickly and was even playing with our other 2 cats (a 10 year old Russian blue and a 2 year old tabby) - lots of running and playing and even a moment of almost cuddling!!!! BUT - then we noticed a small mark over his right eye and took him to the vet - about 8 days after taking him home...RINGWORM - confirmed... So he has been isolated in our master bathroom since then - and so far we have been lucky - the other cats do not show any signs. Max has received several lime dips and is on proper medication - and we have been cleaning and doing laundry nonstop ever since... I got one ringworm lesion on my hand from early on - but so far nobody else has anything and mine is starting to go away. Looks like Max is also starting to improve - his spirits have not dampened at all - and we have been trying to play with him as much as possible so he doesn't get lonely or bored. He is still a huge cuddle muffin - and it is difficult for me to resist - as he needs the contact - so I wrap myself up and cuddle him regardless of the ringworm. We had called the Pet Supermarket the day we found out about the ringworm and they said they would let you know about it...but that was right around the holidays - so not sure if they told you... We were a bit upset at first - as we have had 6 cats in our home over the years and never experienced ringworm before - but I guess it happens... Anyway - the good news is he should be on the mend - and we look forward to seeing him get back into playing with his brothers once he is given the thumbs up by the vet - which may not be for another 2-3 weeks - but we will get there... Best regards, Betsi Kassebaum

Hi Kathy, Izzy is mixing into the household very well. He and my other older cat have bonded together very well. They are always playing & interacting with each other. The third cat is another story. He wouldn't like any new cat that came in as he is very territorial. He seems to be getting a little better though. The third cat let Izzy lick him without hissing at him. The bad part is he is pretty indifferent to my attentions. Hopefully,as he grows older he will start to notice me more. Mike L.

Hi: I apologize for how long it has taken me to respond. I would like to give a huge THANK YOU to Justin Bartlett Animal Rescue! This is not only for Ivy and me, but for the countless other animals and people that you have brought together. Ivy could not have been a better match for me. She is everything I was looking for and more. She is loving, playful, independent and intelligent. She is 100% potty trained, both at home and at work. I own a cabinet shop and she comes to work with me every day. She enjoys it and isn't bothered by the machines and activity. She sleeps a lot and entertains herself with her toys when awake. She has plenty of room to run when she wishes. We are taking puppy obedience training and she is doing well. We both enjoy the classes. She gets along with all other dogs and my elderly cat. She plays with my neighbors adult male Husky daily. She wears him out. The company next to my shop all bring their dogs to work. She plays with all six of them, although her favorite is a 70 lb mixed-breed male. It is great to see that bond. She is equally good with people. She has yet to meet one she doesn't like. Most of them like her as well. She is a healthy, happy puppy. I am very comfortable with Dr. Simon's Pet Clinic. She has more than doubled in size since I adopted her. When she outgrows her current kennel (which she loves), I would like to donate it to Justin Bartlett Animal Rescue. Hopefully a foster home can use it or you may give it away to another adopter whose puppy will outgrow a small crate. Thank you, again, for bringing us together. We are at the beginning of a lifetime friendship, filled with love. greg bean --
