Gabriel is a 3 year old Siamese that recently experienced a home disruption and is living in foster care. Due to the recent instability that he’s experienced, he would do best with an experienced cat owner that can understand his fear and reluctance to attach. His current foster home is not experienced with cats and is confused by his timid and fearful behavior. Gabriel allows them to pet him while he is eating but retreats afterwards to hide. He wants to play and will occasionally play with a toy on a string, but becomes easily frightened and runs away to a secluded spot where he feels safe.

Gabriel wants desperately to establish a bond with a human so it is important that he goes to a home that understands and has owned cats. He is not feral and gets along very well with other cats. He’s a very loving cat that needs time in order to feel secure within new surroundings and with new people. He would do best in a home that allows him a very small space at first to allow him to become accustomed, then, gradually widen his territory to other rooms until he has free reign of the house.
Gabriel is an easy-keeper indoor cat that prefers Meow Mix dry cat food. He is disinterested in wet cat food altogether but will eat tidbits of chicken or tuna. He needs a home that can read cat body language and take it very slow with him to build his trust again. He is not aggressive but like many cats, has nipped at his foster parent’s hand when being pet and stroked past his limit.
Consider opening your home and your heart to this beautiful young boy so that you can become his “one special person” and teach him that he can feel safe and loved once again.
