My name is Rex and I'm a pure bred American Eskimo. Not much is known about my life before being rescued even though I'm just a year old. According to the records, my life was disrupted when I was confiscated by Broward Animal Control. I am very clingy and want desperately to bond to someone. Even though I am very loving, affectionate, and snuggly, I am still adjusting to this new life. Fast movements, like a child rushing to hug or pet me, scare me a lot and I might nip out of fear. For that reason, I would be best in a home without children. I need someone who can recognize and respect the fact that I need to be handled with patience and love until I can gain confidence and trust back. I get along great with other dogs and look forward to making new friends or being an "only child". I yearn for the opportunity to snuggle in your lap, gaze lovingly at you with my big brown eyes and say "thank you".
